Short Film Reserach - Jet by Jordan Chesney

This film titled Jet by Jordan Chesney includes common clamps used in many thriller films watched today. For example, clamps seen in this film are examples of props, settings, lighting, make up and actors. Props used in this film can be examples of guns. The setting of this film can be seen as outdoors in a neighborhood and following up to a house. Common lighting used in this film can be described as low-key lighting and natural lighting. Examples of low-key lighting are presented the most throughout this film. Examples you can find of lowkey lighting are when he is in the house and finds the girls or before when he was outside, and it was dark. Actors throughout this film can be the main guy actor presented through the whole film and other background actors like he two men leaving the house. The girl getting kidnapped is also one of the main actors even though she is not presented that much throughout the film she it is based upon saving her. Not necessarily makeup but makeup used in this film can be examples of fake blood when the man shot the other two guys leaving the house and prop blood splattered everywhere. Some editing used throughout this film can be examples of cross cutting and jump cut. Jump cut can be seen when the man was seen in the car and then out of nowhere it jumped to him running behind the house the girl was taken into.

Some example films in the genre thriller can be examples of us, get out, and get home safe ma. I have personally watched all these examples that I listed above, and I loved all of them. They all consisted of great elements, actors, props, and settings

Some elements of the genre of thriller that I like the most that are expressed in this film are examples of suspension and tensions I love when thriller movies incorporate action packed scenes that really draw the audience's attention. I feel scenes like this are the base to thriller movies, it gives you suspense and anxiety watching scenes like that occur. Suspense and tension are especially crucial elements of thriller movies to me. Without those feelings and thoughts that it brings it would not really be a thriller movie.

Elements that do not appeal to me in thrillers are examples of cliff hangers. I do not always like cliff hangers where the movie ends with one, but I like them throughout movies. Cliff hangers I do not like are examples of when a movie ends off with not knowing if someone is dead or if someone stays together or not. Examples of the kind of cliff hangers I like throughout movies are like if someone is doing something and someone is watching but nothing happens until later in the movie. For example, the cliff hanger presented in this film is when he sees the girl but know we do not know what happens next.
