Genre Research - Action and Horror

  The Two genres I am choosing to research is going to be horror and action.    Common CAMS in the genre horror is a tilted angle. This is commonly used in horror films because they want to create a dramatic tension during the shots. For example, if there is going to be a supernatural figure coming towards the camera it is going to feel as if you are moving closer to it or pushing away from it.    Common CLAMPS used in the genre horror films that are often used include lighting like low key lighting, up lighting, spotlighting, and under exposure. Comparing Le Jetee, the short, and 12 monkeys, the full length movie

  12 monkey's and Lee Jetée video   My takeaway from this video was the original videos of both 12 monkeys and la Jette were described as still images with voice and sound. They never wanted to remake but they wanted to make a homage to La Jetée which is known as one of the most extraordinary films ever made.   Some valuable information I gathered while watching this video 12 monkeys Is based on Lee Jette . Black and white photographs help create a good documentary, giving a more real isti c look.   How I envisioned this helping me through my short film process by learning good tactics to use and do during my short film. Comparing 9, the short and 9, the full length

  Short – film   My impression of the short film is that it looks as if there is a world that was destroyed assuming by the creature that appeared at the beginning . It seems as if one of the rag dolls were looking into something as if he remembered a time as it transitioned to what he was rem em bering . The memory starts as there are two r agdolls who a ppear to be looking for things to save themselves at the beginning . The creature eventually kills one of the rag dolls known as number 5 leaving number 9 as the last standing doll . Number 9 carries this green glowing thing that the creature also has that when you p ut them together all the souls of the old dolls come back. Number 9 killed the creature and stuck the t wo pieces together as the souls started to emersed from the tool and the filmed shortly after.   I would describe the plot as a destroyed world from a mystical creature as the last rag doll is left to bring back the lives of the oth...
